Isaiah 66:13

The Following letters show how Friends of the Unborn has changed people’s lives and how the general public has reacted to our efforts. We hope you enjoy these letters as much as we did.
“As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you.”
When I found out I was pregnant, I felt so alone. All I wanted to do was run away. I remember crying for hours. I ended up with no place to stay but a friend of mine told me about Friends. I called and spoke to one of the counselors and she asked me to come in and we would talk. She was so kind to me. When she told me she had room for me to stay, I couldn’t believe it. I was so relieved. I moved in the next day. I met other girls that were in the same situation that I was, so I felt at home right away. We had classes every week on parenting and nutrition, life skills and more. They really helped me. Well, I had my beautiful baby girl and I’m so happy. I am so very grateful to the staff at Friends for caring for me and my daughter. My baby and I stayed until we found a home of our own and often visit our dear friends at Friends. Alissa
I am seven and a half months along now, awaiting the arrival of my baby girl, Amy. I don’t know what I’d do if I had never talked to the counselor here at Friends. Living here has definitely changed my life, and trust me, it has changed for the better! I just can’t wait until I can hold my daughter and start our new life together. Tracy
Friends is a great place to be if you’re pregnant and have no place to live. They show love, caring and understanding, which some of the girls never knew before. My daughter and I were very happy there. Cheri
I found that at Friends we do things together. I’m not alone here. If a girl wants a future for herself and her baby, she can come here for that help and they won’t turn her away. There’s hope and security here. I need that. Hanna
In my life I will never again see the generosity and concern that Friends has shown me. I am now settled into their home and hope to enroll in college next year after my baby is born. I know and believe it is possible through God’s help. Friends, accept my sincere thanks and I know God will always bless you. Rosemary
Through Friends God saved my baby and me from the arms of despair. We now have new hope. Janet
I’m so happy to be in this place because the people are so lovely. We get along with each other and respect each other. But the most important of all is that they help you no matter what the problem is and they teach you how to take responsibility. Maria
Thanks to Friends of the Unborn, my spiritual life with God has gotten stronger. I thank ‘Friends’ for me having a place to call home and a place that cares for me and my baby, not my past. Schelbine
